Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has spoken of feeling 'emotional' at the release of the band's new album, claiming their self-titled new release is the most important of their career.
Speaking ahead of the American release of the record, Williams took to Twitter to share her feelings on the new album, the band's first since the departure of brothers Josh and Zac Farro in December 2010.
"Our 4th album will officially be out this time tomorrow," she said on Twitter. "Getting weirdly emotional about it."
"Probably just because it feels like the most important thing I've ever been a part of... But whatever."
The album is currently at No.1 on the UK iTunes chart, proving that the emotions and hard work has paid off - although there is a long way to go before the official album chart is announced on Sunday. Paramore are currently on course to knock Justin Timberlake from the top spot, with another big new entry expected from James Blake and his new album, Overgrown.
Paramore's self-titled new album could land the US band a UK No.1 this week
Speaking of the album and its lyrical content, Williams previously revealed she doesn’t feel the need to try and be cool by swearing in songs or attempting to appeal to older audiences with drug and sex references, saying instead she prefers to sing about normal life problems.
Speaking with NPR, she said: “I don’t really feel like i need to say anything about sex, drugs and rock ‘n; roll. I don’t need to swear. And I’m not saying that I’m a perfect angel, but i think it would feel very disingenuous - like, ‘This is me trying to be cool. Maybe we’ll grab a couple of older fans if I just put this swear word in’. I want to talk about normal life problems."
