Union J are the first of the 2012 X Factor finalists to announce the release of original material this year.

The four piece were signed in January by Sony subsidiary RCA following the ending of X Factor's last series.

The single, that was announced by the band via a live webchat with fans, will be released on June 2nd. No exact premiere date for the single was mentioned by Union J, but fans were told to expect airplay soon. Member Jamie Hensley stated: "It will be going to radio in a few weeks."

The singer added: "It's going to be totally crazy to hear it on the radio." In a joint statement the band thanked X Factor and said: "Being on X Factor was such a great experience and the perfect way for us to start our musical journey."
