A One Direction fan was hit by a lorry while she was waiting outside the Metro Arena in Newcastle in order to see the band.
One Direction were performing at the arena on Monday (8 April) and the 16 year old was waiting near the venue to try and catch a glimpse of the boys, when she got hit by a large moving vehicle.
Fans quickly called emergency services in order to help the girl, who was taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary and later released with no serious injuries.
A police source told The Mirror, "Police were informed at 3:30pm this afternoon that a 16-year-old girl had suffered minor injuries after being hit by a lorry in Dunn Street near the Metro Arena. She was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since been released.
"Officers are carrying out enquiries in order to establish what happened. There was an ambulance called from a member of public outside of the arena. The truck wasn't anything to do with the venue."

In less traumatic One Direction news, Morgan Spurlock recently assured fans that there will be lots of shirtless scenes of the boys in their upcoming 3D movie, This Is Us.
During a live Twitter chat about the film, Spurlock said, "[There are] more shirtless moments than you can imagine. Now how many of those make it into the final film we’ll have to wait and see."
