Our jobs mean we listen to a lot of music before most people. This can be a thrilling or depressing experience, with the variety of albums we listen to on a daily basis ranging from jaw-droppingly brilliant to the bafflingly bad. This gallery focuses on the former.
We've rounded up the new albums we have been listening to on repeat in the Gigwise office over the past few weeks - some of which won't be released for weeks, even months to come. Among them is a collection of psychedelic Australian pop for those who need an album to follow last year's Tame Impala album, the first great British dance record of 2013 and a band with a second album so good it will blow the tent pegs out of the ground at festival this summer.
