Kylie Minogue has claimed that her new album is 'almost finished', during a backstage interview at the 2013 Logo NewNowNext Awards.
The star won the Dancefloor Hero award at the event in Los Angeles, and was presented with the award by Scissor Sisters frontman and close friend, Jake Shears.
In a backstage interview, Minogue said that the album was 'almost finished' and went on to talk about the fact that she'd been tempted to give up music in order to focus on her acting instead.
"I didn't ever really consider giving up completely, but I was kind of seduced into going back to the acting world," she said, according to Digital Spy.
"But music brought me back and I'm so happy, it's just been a very different experience recording here in Los Angeles."

The new album will be the follow-up to 2010's Aphrodite, and Minogue has worked with a number of producers including Stargate and Darkchild - the latter of whom posted about working with Minogue on Twitter earlier this week.
Darkchild - real name Rodney Jerkins - wrote, "DAY 2 Working with @kylieminogue #PureMagic Pleasure working with u Kylie!"
