It's been a year of surprises and the return of Fall Out Boy is definitely one of the biggest - and with their return comes the best album of the week in the form of Save Rock and Roll. Whether you think it needs saving or not, the record is sure to convince you. But don't just take our word for it.

The album boasts collaborations with everyone from Big Sean to Courtney Love to Elton John. Fall Out Boy show that their knack of making supremely catchy pop-rock hits hasn't left them, and it's almost like they were never gone.

Check out our Save Rock And Roll review below, watch the band discuss why rock and roll needs saving, reveal why they wanted Courtney on the new record, download the album for just £4.99 and see some of the best live photos of the band's career...

1. Fall Out Boy - Save Rock and Roll album review
"The first track on an album is always an important one, and never more so than in a situation like this. Fall Out Boy have been on hiatus for three years - which is especially long in the world of music, where careers can begin and end in that time - and this is their manifesto."

Our Gigwise writer Grace Carroll looks at the new Fall Out Boy album one track at a time, and decides if it's a worthy comeback. Click here to read the review in full.

3. Fall Out Boy: 'Maybe rock and roll does need saving' - watch the band discuss the album title below:

4. 'It's important that girls know they have a place in rock roll'
Fall Out Boy discussed their Courtney Love duet 'Rat a Tat' and spoke out about the place of women in rock and roll music and whether Love's antics can sometimes overshadow her music - saying they sometimes feel the same way. The band also addressed their collaboration with rising star Foxes. Click here to find out exactly what they had to say.

5. They're definitely back! Fall Out Boy's live highlights in photos.
As well as a genre-blurring record, Fall Out Boy also have a US stadium tour lined up - as well as playing at both Reading and Leeds festivals. The American pop-rockers have been known for their live shows, including bassist Pete Wentz's habit of throwing himself into the crowd, and we've got some photos to tide you over until the chance to see them live.
