Time magazine has been asking readers to vote for who they think has been the most influential person on the planet over the past ten years in a list which is now between pop icon Lady Gaga and Burma's freedom fighter Aung San Suu Kyi.

The Time 100 Face-Off has been running throughout April and has seen the likes of Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Mark Zuckerberg all pipped to the post by the final two.

Over the last ten years, Gaga has collected a whopping $52 million, five Grammys, over 35 million Twitter followers and embarked on one of the highest-grossing world tours ever.

As if that wasn't enough, the 'Marry The Night' singer has also set up a Born This Way Foundation dedicated to anti-bullying and youth empowerment schemes.

Activist and politician Aung San Suu Kyi is in the running for the Time 100's most influential as one of the world's biggest champions for democracy.

Kyi fought for the freedom of Burma for 21 years and being placed under house arrest still didn't manage to make her any less influential. She was elected to become part of the Burmese parliament in 2012.

The winner of the Time 100 Face-Off will be announced today (April 17) with Aung San Suu Kyi currently ahead with 60 per cent of the votes.
