Muse dedicated their Monday night concert in Madison Square Garden, New York, to Boston after the marathon bomb attack.

The concert took place on the same night as the tragedy, and the band acknowledged it by sharing their respects during the gig.

Frontman Matt Bellamy shouted, "This is for Boston!" and the band played an instrumental version of the American national anthem, 'The Star Spangled Banner' as the audience sang the lyrics.

The crowd were reportedly nervous about attending such a large event on the same day that the bombings took place, but cheered and showed their solidarity as the anthem played.

Muse went on to dedicate their hit song 'Starlight' to Boston during the encore, saying that it was for the people of Boston and everyone else affected by the bombing which took place during the Boston Marathon.
