Paramore grabbed their first ever No.1 US album earlier this week (April 18) as the rock trio knocked Justin Timberlake from top spot on the Billboard Top 200.
The band's self titled new album sold 106,000 copies in the first week and was 6,000 sales ahead of Brad Paisley's Wheelhouse album which went in at No.2.
In an email to MTV News, lead singer Hayley Williams wrote: "This is one of those things that happens in the movies. I feel like we are living out some storyline that I have never imagined would be our own.
"I know for a fact we wouldn't have a No.1 album if it weren't for how dedicated our fans are. They just made history for us."
Paramore's fourth studio album also topped the UK album chart over the weekend which is their second time at the top of UK charts as previous record Brand New Eyes spent three weeks on top of the UK charts in 2009.
Paramore knocked Justin Timberlake from top spot in both the US and the UK
Other new entries in the US top ten included Tyga's Hotel California in at No.7 and Volbeat's debut offering Outlaw Gentleman & Shady Ladies at No.9.
Paramore were recently confirmed as Muse's support act for one night only at their Paris show on June 21 at the Stade De France.
