Who needs Justin Bieber when you've got a successful solo career? Certainly not Selena Gomez, who is set to embark on her first solo world tour in 2013. Tickets on now.
The US singer, and former Disney star, will play a massive 33 live shows throughout August to November of this year - all of which are in America and Europe, so bad news for UK fans of the 'Come And Get It' singer.
The tour, titled Stars Dance, is her first solo tour, having previously worked with backing band The Scene, from whom she has now separated. Gomez announced the tour stateside on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, speaking of her excitement at her string of live shows.
"It’s going to be a bigger show," she told the radio host and TV presenter. "I’m excited. I’ve been dancing a lot and I just want to entertain people and I’m super stoked.
"I kind of missed shows when it used to just be about the dancing and the performing as opposed to how big and elaborate the stage is so I kind of want to get back to that. My favorites were Britney and Janet Jackson so I kind of want it to be a bit more dancing and make it about entertainment and about the show and the songs as opposed to how big the stage and effects are."
Selena Gomez was one of the talking points at the MTV Movie Awards, 2013
