As the Daft Punk comeback gathers pace and their first single 'Get Lucky' storms the charts, we got thinking about its chances of becoming their first ever UK No.1 single and realised they aren't the only huge act to fall at the final No.1 single hurdle.
It seems strange that such a genre-defining act are still waiting to reach the pinnacle of the UK charts, but the French duo aren't the only ones to have found obtaining a top single a little more difficult than albums releases.
The likes of Muse and The Killers are yet to grab a UK No.1 single whilst Radiohead have achieved five straight No.1 albums, but still haven't managed to put a chart-topping single to their name.
