Daft Punk missed out on the first No.1 single of their 21 year career this week, losing out to London newcomers, Rudimental, who score their second chart topper with new track, 'Waiting All Night'.
'Waiting All Night', featuring singer Ella Eyre, follows the collective's 2012 chart topper, 'Feel The Love', and also beat the joint might of Will.i.am and Justin Bieber on their new duet, '#thatPOWER', who enter at No.2. Daft Punk settle at No.3 - their second biggest UK hit, after 2000's 'One More Time'. The track was only on sale for 48 hours before the official chart was announced.
Other new hits in the UK singles chart include Psy's second single 'Gentleman', which enters at No.10, and dance track 'Mozart's House' by Clean Bandit, which is new at No.17. Little Mix score a new hit with their 'How Ya Doin' track entering at No.23 and Emeli Sande returns to the Top Forty with her 'Read All About It part 2' single. Mat Zo and Porter Robinson are new at No.28 with 'Easy' and Will.i.am scores a second new hit this week with his Miley Cyrus collaboration, 'Fall Down'.
