British bands and artists old and new scored themselves some of the big slots at this year's Coachella Festival, with Blur and The Stone Roses headling the event on alternate weekends - and a host of more big names on the packed schedule.
While the likes of Blur, Stone Roses, Johnny Marr and Franz Ferdinand will be no strangers to US festival shows, also on the line-up was Jake Bugg, who is currently making waves across the Atlantic, following huge success in the UK in 2012. The 'Lightning Bolt' star joined the big boys of the British guitar scene at Coachella on both weekends, following the track being used in a current ad campaign for American soft drink, Gatorade.
Blur and The Stone Roses swapped headline slots at the dual weekends of Coachella 2013, with Stone Roses taking the lead on weekend one, while Blur stepped up to top the bill on the second weekend. Initial reports claimed this was due to Stone Roses drawing a smaller crowd than expected in their headline slot - but bosses claimed that the headline exchange had always been planned.
