When Two Door Cinema Club unveiled their new video for 'Handshake' it was bizarre to say the least. But now the clip, which features the band being decapitated, has been banned by MTV.
The video sees the group's dismembered, but still alive, heads being used as bowling balls in a rivalry between two seedy looking men.
The clip has a distinctly sinister feel to it, which is eased a little by the humorous strangeness of the general concept.
It was first shown on UK TV on Tuesday night (April 23), but MTV have since decided that the shocking clip is too much for its broadcasting playlist and have removed it.
"[It's] great. We've never had anything banned before," says bassist Kavin Baird, who at one point has a cigarette stubbed out on his head by a displeased bowled.

To be fair having a video banned by MTV is likely to bring the clip more attention across the internet than simply having it on rotation on MTV's playlist.
The clip has had over 200,000 views since being uploaded yesterday.
