They’ve only just finished the UK leg of their current tour, but apparently One Direction will have their next album ready for release by next Christmas.
Louis Tomlinson has revealed that the boy band are working on their new record with the same team that was behind Up All Night and Take Me Home, and says they've been working on the album while on tour.
“We’ve already started recording the album, we started about a month ago,” he tells the Daily Star Sunday.
“We’ve been writing and recording it while on tour. We are really happy with it. We don’t want to rush it but it will be out for Christmas.”
The boys have allegedly been writing tracks in pairs and recording vocals in their hotel rooms while on tour.
One Direction have been running on all cylinders recently, not only recording a new record but also touring and preparing to release a film.
“We have the film coming out as well so we are all pretty shattered,” Tomlinson explains.
“But we are all having a great time. We have had a week off this week before heading on to Europe for the tour.”

Harry Styles wasted no time after the UK leg of touring finished and swiftly jetted out to LA to spend some time with Rod Stewart and his daughter Kimberly, who he's allegedly now dating.
Today it was even alleged that he’d got a new tattoo, having 'little things’ inked on his body according to the Daily Mail.
