UK folk newcomers Daughter have covered Daft Punk's No.1 single 'Get Lucky', turning the modern disco chart topper into a mellow slice of acoustic pop. Listen below.

The cover version was broadcast on 27 April 2013, a day before the French duo scored their first ever UK No.1 single with the track, which marks their 2013 comeback to the music scene. The Daughter cover version of the robotic disco track turns the chart topper into a dreamy, mellow epic, and is highly reminiscent of The xx at their most upbeat.

'Get Lucky' is Daft Punk's first single in eight years, and knocked Rudimental's 'Waiting All Night' off the top spot. Before 'Get Lucky', their best UK chart position was No. 2, which they managed in 2000 with 'One More Time'.

The hit made it to No. 3 last week after just 48 hours of being in the charts, but the extra time made sure that it hit the top spot this week. Rudimental fell to No. 2, with Will.i.am's Justin Bieber collaboration 'ThatPower' was at No. 3.
