Daft Punk - Random Access Memories: what the critics say

At midnight last night (30 April, 2013) the embargo on the new Daft Punk album, Random Access Memories, was lifted and those journalists lucky enough to have had an early listen to it were able to share their thoughts with the internet at large.

And share they did, with Twitter swiftly flooded with numerous reviews and track-by-tracks (Mixmag ran six, yes six, separate track by tracks).

While the pervading feeling seems to be that this is a good record, the more common view is that this is a record that's going to take more than one listen to get to grips with.

Random Access Memories is released on 20 May 2013, when the world at large will get to hear the new album and share their own opinions, but in the meantime we've collected what the critics who've heard Random Access Memories made of it on first inspection.
