Danny Foster, who shot to fame as one fifth of reality TV group Hear'Say has revealed he feels no jealousy towards his successful former bandmates, including Myleene Klass and Kym Lomas - as he doesn't think they've done any better than he has.

The singer, who hit No.1 in 2001 with their first two singles 'Pure And Simple' and 'The Way To Your Love', has auditioned for this year's series of The Voice, and his audition will be broadcast this weekend (4 May, 2013). He is among a number of former stars who have appeared on the show in 2013 in hope of a second chance at fame. Speaking after his appearance on the show, Foster spoke of the success of his former bandmates.

"I have never seen that they have done better than me. Their advertising deals and stuff like that is fair enough but musically, I am still singing and that is what I got into Popstars for," he said.

"I never went into it to be a model or an actor. I went in to be a singer. I wish them the best."

Myleene Klass has enjoyed a revived career thanks to her appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, but Foster claims he would not have wanted to take a similar route.

"I didn't fancy eating kangaroo testicles in the jungle," he adds. "I've been waiting for a talent show that was based on singing."

Former Cleopatra singer Cleo Higgins previously performed a successful audition on the show, despite surprising viewers by showering Jessie J with praise - and then opting to join Will.i.am's 'team'.

Nineties hearthrob Kavana was less fortunate however, and was rejected from the show. Foster's fortunes will be revealed on this weekend's edition of the show.
