The Voice can seem like an opportunity for former popstars to have another bite of the apple, but when they fall flat on their face, as Hear’Say’s Danny Foster unfortunately did, it’s all the worse.
The former popstar chose the Spice Girls hit single ‘Wannabe’ for his audition, but failed to tempt any of the four coaches to turn their chairs.
But it seemed that his song choice might’ve been to blame more than his vocal efforts.
“You sing really well and I understand what you were trying to do but it just didn’t come together for me,” Tom Jones told him.
“I thought the track was a little bit karaoke. That’s why I didn’t turn,” Danny O’Donoghue added.
Jesse J said: "I didn’t turn around because it was good but it wasn’t amazing.”

With no judges wanting Foster to join their team he’s already out of the competition on The Voice, but has been keeping busy with his soul outfit Danny Foster & The BIg Soul Corporation.
There are now also rumours that Hear’Say might follow Liberty X’s lead and sign up for ITV 2’s The Big Reunion.
