Ed Sheeran has discussed plans for his second album, which is set to be more hip-hop influenced and leaked online to fans for free.

Sheeran has confirmed that he has recorded enough songs for another album, revealing that his new material is more hip-hop than his debut - and may also end up incorporating elements of metal into its sound.

"It's probably closer to a hip-hop record to be honest, at the moment, but who knows, it might turn into a rap-metal record?" Sheeran told MTV. "I"ll buy a Yankees hat and turn it backwards. I'll become Ed Durst!"

"I want to release all of it now, but obviously you have to stagger things a bit," he added, speaking of his productivity. "It's been good, I've been writing more than I've ever written in my entire life, I've written a lot recently.

Ed Durst? He's halfway there! All Sheeran needs now is a baseball cap...

The 'A-Team' singer also says he has no idea when the album may be released, however, adding that if he takes too long to finish it, he will leak the record online.

"If I deliver it to the label by the end of the year, it can come out early next year. And if I don't deliver it by the end of the year, then I don't know, I might just leak it. Put it on Limewire or something."

We think it is best if no one takes these plans too seriously...
