Sharon Osbourne has reportedly signed on to return to The X Factor when the show returns this year, replacing N-Dubz star Tulisa, and with the rock matriarch back for 'unfinished business'.

Sharon is thought to be replacing Tulisa, who was previously told that she wouldn't be returning to the show. While some reports are saying that the deal signed by Sharon was £1.5million, others are suggesting that it was actually £1.8m.

According to The Sun, the final deal was £1.5m - but has an extra £300,000 budget for first-class flights, make-up and luxury hotel suites.

A source told the Daily Mirror, "Tulisa appealed to the younger X Factor fans but they could do with winning back some of the mature viewers - and Sharon fits that demographic perfectly."

They added, "Sharon and TV bosses feel there is much unfinished business following her first stint on the show. It was never about money for Sharon."

ITV executives were apparently worried that Sharon would want to stay close to Ozzy following his relapse, and that The X Factor wouldn't appeal to her at the moment.

"Sharon's been through hell lately so X Factor was not front of mind," an inside told The Sun. "But she loved the show and misses it."

Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger are all thought to be returning.
