Beyonce struck gold when she picked an audience member to sing with her at a recent gig in Manchester (9 May, 2013), randomly choosing 2009 X Factor winner as the lucky fan to join her in a duet. See a video of the incident below.

Beyonce was introducing her hit 'Love On Top' and held the microphone out to an audience member, giving them the opportunity to sing the trademark 'ba ba ba ba' from the song's intro. The audience member happened to be none other than Joe McElderry.

The 'Crazy In Love' singer was so impressed by Joe's vocals that she knelt down on the stage in order to let him sing some more of the song, saying, "Oh my. You sound beautiful!"

After Joe had his moment, Beyonce told the audience, "I don't know if y'all can beat that, but y'all can sing it too!"

Joe took to Twitter after the concert to share his excitement, writing to his 344,000+ followers, "SO I HAVE ACTUALLY JUST SANG WITH BEYONCE!! she kept passing the mic back to me!!!!!! i can die a happy man now!!!!!!!

"she bent down and past the mic during love on top and we had a little sing!!! i am buzzing!!!!"

Watch the video below:

Joe certainly did better than Princess Eugenie, who was too shy to sing with Beyonce when she was offered the microphone during 'Irreplaceable', at one of the star's London O2 concerts.

Beyonce reportedly approached the crowd during the show and tried to get Princess Eugenie to sing "to the left, to the left," but apparently Eugenie was too embarrassed to join in and Bey had to choose someone else.

Joe and Beyonce? Noel and Damon? Which unlikely duet will be next?
