Louis Walsh has reportedly agreed his fee for the 2013 series of X Factor, but has refused to ask for an increase on his £1m salary due to 'economic troubles' in Ireland.

The Irish music boss will still pocket his usual salary which amounts to a whopping £1million, but will be earning significantly less that returning judge Sharon Osbourne who is reportedly demanding a £1.8million deal which includes £300,000 worth of first class plane tickets between the UK and US.

A source told the Sun: "Louis is mindful of economic troubles, particularly in his native Ireland where the property market has crashed, so he didn’t think it was right to ask for a pay rise.

"A £1million deal is plenty for anyone and he’s just happy to have his place back on the panel."

2012 judges Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger are also said to be asking for around £1.5million to return to the show and although Nicole's album release clashes with the show, she is reported to be '90 per cent certain' about embarking on her second stint as an X Factor mentor.

X Factor 2013 will be Walsh's tenth year on the show and the former Boyzone boss is currently looking to put together a brand new boyband to rival One Direction.

Auditions will be held in Ireland next week and Walsh revealed recently just what he will be looking for saying, "It will be boys over 16 from anywhere. I am looking for five pop stars — but they must be prepared to work hard.”
