Rihanna has taken a break from touring the world, partying with Katy Perry and arguing with Chris Brown to get back to what she does best and make music.
The 'Diamonds' singer revealed to her Instagram followers that she was in the studio with rapper and fellow Roc Nation member Wale and shared a picture of the pair seemingly hard at work.
She wrote: "Work hard play hard! @Walemmg and I cooking up a lil treat!!! #studiolife."
Although both artists are working on new material, it has been reported that the pair were re-recording Wale's track 'Bad' which originally features Tiara Thomas.
Wale's third studio album The Gifted is expected to be released in June, 2013 with its follow-up The Album About Nothing set to be released shortly after.

Rihanna has been attracting the wrong kind of headlines recently thanks to her on/off reltionship with fellow singer Chris Brown.
The pair took to Twitter to send a series a messages that eluded to their most recent break-up.
Brown posted: “She’s not mine if she’s everybody elses.”
“Sometimes loving someone is too much! So loving from a distance will help everyone grow! Be blessed. Live ya life!” He added.
A short time later Rihanna wrote: “Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain’t for kidsz #butimsleeptho.”
