Franz Ferdinand are set to make their return with a fourth album this summer, their first record since 2009's Tonight: Franz Ferdinand. But the Scots are far from the only British act preparing to make a reappearance on the UK music scene after a period of inactivity.
Britpop band Suede have already released a comeback album this year, Bloodsports, and My Bloody Valentine shocked everyone by releasing a third album more than two decades after their last.
Editors are returning without founding member Chris Urbanowicz, who left citing disagreements about the bands creative future, and Garbage are preparing to release a new record next year.
There's plenty of old faces reappearing on the UK music scene at the moment, but some have aged slightly better than others.
