George Michael is said to be 'perfectly fine' after being involved in a car crash on the M1 this week (16 May, 2013), while another man was airlifted to hospital to be treated for head injuries.
The incident occured at 5.50pm, states The Haringey Independent, and it is believed that no one else was involved in the crash. Emergency services rushed to the scene, which reportedly took place close to a junction onto the M25. George Michael was a passenger in the car involved in the crash.
"George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident yesterday evening, no third party was involved," said the star's spokesperson. "He is being treated for superficial cuts and bruises but is fine. We have no further comment at this time."
A spokesperson for the Ambluance serviced stated: "A man who we believe to be in his 40s sustained a head injury and following treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation by land and air ambulance crews, he was flown to hospital for further care.

George Michael has not had a successful history with vehicles, having famously crashed into a Hampstead branch of Snappy Snaps in 2010 and a number of arrests for being under the influence while driving.
The star's long-term boyfriend Fadi Fawaz insisted that there was nothing to be worried about. Fadi Fawaz, 39, said: “He is perfectly fine... Of course I was worried, but I spoke to him and he is good. He suffered a few bruises but there is nothing to worry about."
