Noel Gallagher has said that he thinks David Beckham should take up songwriting, now that he's retired from football.
Beckham recently confirmed that he would be retiring from football at the end of this season, following a career that has lasted for nearly 20 years.
When asked by ITV News what he thought Beckham's next career move should be, Noel responded, "Songwriting, I'd have thought. No, I don't know."
He continued, "Good for him, he's had a great career and played for some of the greatest and most iconic clubs in world football. He could probably go into management one day, as long as it's not [Manchester] City."
Noel went on to emphasise how much he hated Beckham when he played for United, but said that since then, he has actually become good friends with the football star.
"I hated him when he played for United. Hated him. Hate. Proper hate," Noel insisted. "But luckily I met him when he'd left United and he's such a nice lad and he's a brilliant footballer."

The former Oasis star had considerably less kind things to say about popstars One Direction at the awards ceremony.
When asked earlier why he attended the event, Gallagher said, "Because they don't let clowns like One Direction in, so it must be a good one."
