Johnny Dean, former star of Britpop band Menswear, has announced a charity gig for The National Autistic Society, where he will perform covers of David Bowie in London.

Tickets are on sale now for the show at The Buffalo Bar on Upper Street in London on 7 June, 2013, where Dean will perform alongside his current music project, The Nuis@nce Band.

"I thought Bowie was quite appropriate because 1. he owns 2013 really and 2. no other musician had as much influence on Britpop than him, not even the Beatles. He was the cloth we all embroidered on really," said Dean of the charity gig.

Tickets for gig are on sale now, and profits will go to The National Autistic Sociey. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets, or The Nuis@nce Band's official website.
