What are believed to be extracts from Lady Gaga's upcoming third studio album ARTPOP have been premiered online. Listen below.

Posted on YouTube, and taken from Vine videos hosting just three seconds of music each, the one-minute video claims to show an insight into Gaga's eagerly awaited album. The sound heard on the new tracks is very dark, and has a dubstep sound. A number of extracts feature samples of Gaga's vocals, but the poor quality of the YouTube clip means listeners are unable to hear the lyrics.

There is no release date set for ARTPOP and Gaga has so far revealed little about the album. She has worked with French producer Madeon on the new album, who recently praised working in the studio with the Born This Way star as 'amazing'.

Listen to the extracts below

Fans have questioned the validity of the YouTube video however, with a number pointing out that tracks in the clip are by rappers Angel Haze and Azealia Banks.

A number of Lady Gaga's 'monsters' seem more certain that this is new music from the singer, after being able to identify the track 'Sex Dreams' among the mix.

Below: everything (we think) we know about Lady Gaga's ARTPOP
