More about: Frightened Rabbit
2013 is the year of the rabbit. Melancholy Scot rockers Frightened Rabbit this year took a leap into the mainstream with the release of their fourth studio album, Pedestrian Verse, a record Gigwise readers previously named the best album of 2013 (so far).
On top of that, the band will support The National on their US tour later in 2013 (a band frontman Scott Hutchinson has always credited as one of his all time favourites) before returning to the UK for a massive headline show at Brixton Academy. Frightened Rabbit will also perform at a number of UK festivals this summer, including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds and T In The Park.
The Manchester Orchestra collaboration is unlikely to be the band's last, with Hutchinson telling Gigwise that he planned to work with the band again in the future.
"When we wrote and recorded ‘Architect’ Andy [lead singer of Manchester Orchestra] and I had only talked over text, we actually met each other for the first time last month," he said. "We’re still in touch now and keep sending stuff back and forth, so hopefully more material will come out of that in the future."
On 4 June, 2013 the band release their Late March, Death March EP, including new and live versions of tracks from Pedestrian Verse, plus their stunning Record Store Day collaboration with the Manchester Orchestra, 'The Architect'.
Ahead of the release, Frightened Rabbit have today premiered a brand new live video of lead track 'Late March, Death March' on Gigwise, shot during the band's recent Australian tour. Check it out below.
