Liam Gallagher’s done a bit of a U-turn with the news that his band Beady Eye are set to perform on The X Factor despite their frontman’s previous disparaging opinions of the show.
Liam has previously called the show ‘f**king annoying’ but says you the show’s huge audience is undeniable.
Speaking to The Mirror he said: “We’re doing X Factor, I think it’s to be on one of the live shows. I don’t care man, we’re rock and roll stars and you can’t argue that’s a huge audience. You have to take that opportunity.”
He also opinion on X Factor alumni One Direction, saying: “I mean, they’re not rock stars are they? Harry’s alright though. I met him at the Olympics and I just said to him, ‘Keep on keeping on’.
“He knows what’s happening, but he’s nothing like me. I’m a proper rock and roll star.”
Liam says the talent show's audience can't be passed up
Liam’s brother Noel was recently dismissed the idea of taking a slot on the TV talent show’s judging panel, saying he’ll never be bored enough to accept the job.
He’s also had some harsh things to say about One Direction recently, saying he was thankful the Ivor Novello Awards don’t let in ‘clowns’ like One Direction.
