Chart toppers Daft Punk have teamed up with British Formula One team Lotus to create a Daft Punk themed racing car which competed in the Monaco Grand Prix yesterday, 26 May 2013. Watch the commercial below.

Rumours had been circulating earlier in the week that Lotus were planning to be using a special car in Monaco as series of cryptic photographs and tweets suggesting the Lotus drivers were going to '#GetLucky' were sent using the official Lotus F1 team's Twitter account.

The short clips released by Lotus are just as mysterious as the build-up to Daft Punk's recently released album Random Access Memories which looks set to be one of the biggest-selling albums of the year so far.

The clip appears to show what could be either the two Lotus drivers, Kimi Raikkonen and Roman Grosjean or the French electro producers themselves walking into a garage and getting into a F1 car which feature the classic combined Daft Punk helmet graphics.

The move follows Daft Punk record label, Columbia Records becoming an official partner of the Lotus F1 team.
