A new track from Aussie pop legend Kylie Minogue has surfaced online - listen below.

'Skirts' is a heavily electronic-influenced song, giving her sound a much harder edge to her previous orchestral album The Abbey Road Sessions

The track comes in the wake of the 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' singer signing to Jay-Z's Roc Nation management - and may have come from her sessions collaborating with Pharrell Williams.

Speaking about her new material, Minogue said: "It's been very interesting to be making an album primarily here – just the slight difference in the way people work. And it's a great new energy being with Roc Nation. It's a very exciting time."

She continued: "It's bringing out something different in me, which is cool," she says. "I need to know what it is to do something different – different style of delivery, different beats, different subject matter. I think that I am a natural chameleon, so that floats my boat...

"I will maintain the DNA of what a Kylie track is, just because I'm on it. I like to try move the goalpost and experiment with different sounds. I can't tell you exactly what it is. I couldn't really describe it yet. But I can tell you I'm having a lot of fun in the process."
