Rising UK guitar band The 1975 have discussed their recent support slot with Muse at London's Emirates stadium, and reveal how they spent time with the West Country band before the huge show.
The Manchester band, who are currently in the UK Top 30 with their single 'The City', performed the biggest show of their career on Sunday 26 May, 2013 alongside fellow support bands, Bastille and Dizzee Rascal. They have since revealed that Muse were keen to meet the band backstage, and how Matt Bellamy spent time with them discussing technical details of The 1975's stage set-up.
"I met the drummer, Dom. He's one of the loveliest guys I have ever ever met in a huge, huge band," said drummer George Daniel in an interview with Gigwise. "He just came up to me and I was like 'Oh, you're alright mate, aren't you'?"
"Matt Bellamy was really into [Adam] Hann's, our guitarist's, pedals. They were having a conversation without breaking eye-line about their gear. Which is no surprise with Matt Bellamy," added frontman Matt Healy.
"I think they are both robots inside," laughed Daniel.

The 1975 also revealed that their stay at the Emirates stadium was a brief one, having to leave the North London venue immediately for a performance at the Nottingham leg of Dot To Dot festival.
"It was one of those situation where we turned up at 1'o'clock in the afternoon, played the show at five and we were driving to Dot To Dot festival 27minutes after we finished the show," said Healy. The band also performed at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Londonderry on the same weekend.
