Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has revealed details of his new book, Photograph, which will include previously unseen photos of the band, after revealing in 2012 that he believed his private collection of images had been lost.

Ringo Starr had previously claimed that his private collection of Beatles photos had been lost during several house moves over the years.

The new e-book will be released on 12 June 2013 and Starr claims that the unseen photos will show how the band coped with their growing fame during their rise to fame. The book will also be released as a limited-edition, hand-bound book, signed by star - which will hit shelves in December 2013 (just in time for Christmas).

Ringo star promises the new images "portray four lads from Liverpool, trying to live normal lives amidst the frenzy that surrounded them," the statement said.

The e-book release will coincide with a new exhibition about Ringo Starr at LA's Grammy Museum. Ringo: Peace & Love, which will also include the unseen images, will be displayed at the US venue.

"I don't know where they are," he says in an interview with Rolling Stone in 2012, discussing the loss of his private collection of Beatles photos. "I wish I did. There's been several moves and things happen."

"I found a box on my shelf and was like, 'What the hell is that?'" he adds. "And it was full of the postcards. At the time we were moving house yet again, and the secretary I had at the time decided to put them all in envelopes and put them in a shoebox. That's how I found out I still had them. So you never know – one day I may find another box with all my photos."
