Mark E Smith has aired his views on today's music world, comparing bands including Mumford & Sons and The Killers to accountants.

In an interview with The Independent, Smith complained about the current state of the industry, and his confusion when it comes to the priorities of certain modern bands.

"The occasions I go to award shows, they're just a bunch of shits," said Smith. "You sit next to The Killers, and it's like, am I on the wrong fucking train here? No, really. Talking about shares and stuff."

He continued: "Mumford & Sons, it's like sitting next to Ernst and Young."

This isn't the first time The Fall frontman has publicly insulted Mumford and Sons, after the 56-year-old musician called them a 'Mongoloid Irish folk band' and threw a bottle at them in November last year when they appeared on the same festival bill.

The Fall's 30th studio album 'Re-Mit' is set for release on May 15th.

Mumford and Sons will headline the final night of this year's Glastonbury Festival, alongside Arctic Monkeys and The Rolling Stones. It was also announced yesterday that Bruce Forsyth will be making an unexpected appearance at Worthy Farm, performing his new album on the Avalon stage on Sunday 30 June.
