Daft Punk have been spotted filming 'something' on the street of New York City - but it remains unclear what it might be. See footage of the scenes below.

The enigmatic dance duo were seen shooting near NYC's Grand Central Station, as reported by The Gothamist.

There was originally speculation as to whether or not it really was Daft Punk or just two men in their iconic helmets, but representatives from the band later confirmed that it was in fact Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.

The 'Get Lucky' stars have made very public appearances around the release of their latest smash hit album Random Access Memories, but they did recently show up at the Monaco Grand Prix to compete with the Formula One team

The runaway success of Random Access Memories has seen the band score the fastest selling album of 2013 and break the Spotify record for most first-week album streams ever

After a reign at the top of the album charts, Daft Punk have slipped to No.3 as Queens of the Stone Age and Disclosure battle it out for the top slot.
