Disclosure are currently beating Queens of the Stone Age as their album Settle stands at No.1 ahead of the California rockers.
The battle lines were drawn earlier this week when Josh Homme and co said that they were hoping to 'crush' the dance duo when Like Clockwork stood at No.1 in the mid-week charts.
Now, the Official Charts Company say that Settle is currently "out in front by over 2,000 copies".
QOTSA have until midnight tomorrow (Saturday 8 June) to shift a few more thousand copies and overtake Disclosure to be crowned the No.1 UK album on Sunday.
A spokesman from the Official Charts Company said: "It ain’t over until ‘til it’s over: this nail-biting Official Chart race closes at midnight on Saturday, and the power to change it is in your hands.
"If you’ve got a favourite, make sure you back them by then. The results will be announced live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart Show with Jameela Jamil from 4–7pm on Sunday, with the Official Albums Chart Top 100 available right here on OfficialCharts.com from 7pm."
Can Queens of the Stone Age reclaim the top spot before Sunday?
Earlier today, collaborator Sir Elton John praised Like Clockwork as 'the best rock album of the last five or six years.
Meanwhile, Disclosure pleased fans by performing a cover of Duke Dumont's 'Need U (100%)'.
