Many of Frank Ocean's Australian fans were left disappointed earlier this week as tickets for his two Splendour in the Grass Sideshows seemed to sell-out in a matter of seconds, only to be found for extortionate prices across the web later that day.

Fans were left outraged as Australian website Ticketek wouldn't allow fans to buy any tickets for Ocean's Melbourne and Sydney shows, even though the concerts had yet to be confirmed as officially sold out.

The highly sought-after tickets are now being sold across re-selling websites such as Ebay for as much as $400, leaving fans furious at the seemingly illegitimate selling of tickets.

Australian website, Pedestrian.tv wrote: "The problem here isn't the people who are on-selling the tickets, but with the purchase policies of the organisations like Frank Ocean concert promoter, Live Nation, that don't protect their customers - the genuine fans seeking tickets through legitimate means - from turning to scalpers time and time again."

The frustraed fans have called for ticketing sites such as Live Nation to follow a similar selling policy to annual Australian festival Splendour in the Grass who state, "You can only purchase legitimate Splendour tickets via our official ticketing provider, Moshtix. Do not buy tickets from unauthorised sellers - they CANNOT change the name and date of birth details on tickets, no matter what they tell you."

For those lucky enough to get tickets, the Grammy and Brit Award winning singer will be heading down under towards the end of July where he will play Melbourne's Festival Hall on July 26 before headlining the Hordern Pavillion in Sydney on July 27.
