Download Festival is just a few short days away. As heavy metal fans pack their bags and prepare to descend upon the hallowed fields of Donington, the weather forecast isn't looking too bright.

Slipknot, Rammstein and Iron Maiden are set to appear at Download alongside the likes of Motorhead, Queens of the Stone Age, KoRn, Limp Bizkit and Jimmy Eat World - but you can also expect to see a few drops of rain.

The Met Office have forecast light rain mixed with mild conditions across the weekend.

The full weather forecast for Download is:

Friday 14 June: Light showers throughout the day with occasional sunny intervals and a high of 15°C

Saturday 15 June: Heavy showers in the day with a cloudy evening and a high of 15°C

Sunday 16 June: Cloudy with some rain and a potenital high of 19°C

Fred Durst won't be needing his red baseball cap when Limp Bizkit play this weekend - perhaps a rain hat and a mac?

Download Festival takes place at Donington Park between 14 and 16 June.
