Kanye West has discussed work on his new album Yeezus, during a New York listening party for the record.
West made an appearance at the private party, where guests were treated to a listen of his long-awaited sixth studio album. He introduced the record, and discussed the back-to-basics approach when it came to recording, and releasing the album. Beyonce and Jay-Z were said to have been in attendance at the exclusive event.
"We didn't give a fuck about what anybody else said, outside looking in, we just wanted to make the best product possible," West told guests at the event. "This is just the beginning of a new reality I have to make music people directly for the people. It's about delivering some shit for y'all to listen to.
He promised more new music to come, adding: "We're just going to keep making music, over and over, from our core, from our gut."
