Kraftwerk have revealed they are due to soon start work on a brand new album.
In a rare interview with The Guardian, band member Ralf Rutter said that the time was right for the electronic pioneers to release new material.
"Now this is done, one to eight," he said. "Now we can concentrate on number nine."
When asked if the album was on its way, Rutter replied: "Oh yes. Of course. It’s music nonstop!"
Rutter also added that the band were enjoying a new-found sense of freedom since embarkin on their most recent tour: “Nowadays basically Kraftwerk is a space lab: we can land anywhere as long as we have the projectors and the screens.”
A new Kraftwerk album is on the horizon
After their critically acclaimed residency at the Tate Modern in London last year, Kraftwerk are set to headline UK festivals with dates at Longitude in Ireland and Latitude in Suffolk this July.
