BBC Sound of 2013 nominees and all-female post punk band Savages have been confirmed as the support for Queens of the Stone Age on their October tour.

The bands share the same record label, Matador and a love of angst-rock music that will make Savages an excellent opener for Queens of the Stone Age .

Savages released their debut album, Silence Yourself, last month and have already recieved rave reviews for their excellent work. They're playing at Beacons Festival, End of the Road Festival and Bestival, amongst a string of dates supporting Portishead, Iggy Pop and QOTSA.
