Those lucky enough to have a ticket for Glastonbury Festival this year might be dismayed to hear that there are thunderstorms and rain predicted for the festival weekend this year.
According to Accuweather, a long-range forecast service, the weather for Pilton, Somerset says that Thursday June 27 will see a ‘little morning rain’ with temperatures reaching a high of 18 degrees and a low of 11 degrees.
Friday June 26, the day that will see Arctic Monkeys headline, will be ‘mostly cloudy with a shower’ with highs of 18 degrees and lows of 12.
The Rolling Stones’ headline day, June 27, will see ‘spotty showers’ and temperatures ranging between 19 degrees and 12 degrees.
There’s a thunderstorm predicted for June 27, when Mumford & Sons will hit the Pyramid Stage with temperatures between 17 degrees and 12 degrees.
Michael Eavis recently encouraged festival goers to drink less at the festival after an email was sent to ticket holders about bringing alcohol to the site.
This year’s Glastonbury is to be streamed live for the first time and viewers able to watch different stages. The BBC will use the latest digital technology to allow viewers to pick between simultaneous live streams.
