More about: Yonderboi
2013 has been a spectacular year for alternative electronica, with the likes of Bonobo, Flume, Letherette and Ghostpoet scoring huge acclaim with their latest releases, and soundtracking the year with their laid-back, powerful electronic sounds.
If those artists above have been highlights of the year for you, then you need the new Yonderboi album, Passive Control, in your life.
Real name Laszlo Fogarasi JR, Yonderboi is a Hungarian composer, producer and visual artist. Passive Control is the third part in his album trilogy, following critically acclaimed releases Shallow And Profound and Splendid Isolation. His latest release is inspired by his love of science fiction - which ranges from Jules Verne novels to Matt Groening creation, Futurama.
"One of my very favourite subjects is how they imagined today’s world in the past, which was the future for them. It is funny to live in the 'future' and to compare how much it didn’t end up as they imagined," says Fogarasi of his new album, which is described as having an 'elusive, utopian' appeal to it.
Yonderboi's Passive Control is released 24 June, 2013, but is streaming on Gigwise exclusively a week ahead of its release.
