Hip hop producer and DJ Alchemist has claimed that Eminem's next album will be a return to form now that the rapper has 'found his feet'.
Alchemist is signed to Eminem's Shady Records and also DJs for him. Speaking to Rapfix live, he gave insight into the progress of Marshall Mathers' upcoming LP.
"I DJ for him and I'm not at liberty to speak on much, but you know his caliber and what he does," said Alchemist, adding that he was "clearly going to further territories".
He continued: "I think what you would expect, especially after the last go-round."
Speaking of the success and progression of Eminem's previous two albums, Alchemist added that the Slim Shady star was now back the sound and approach that fans might be more familiar with: "He was just getting his feet back on Relapse and then Recovery just came with the smash hits and everything and I think now - he's Eminem."
Eminem's album has no release date yet, but he's set to headline Reading and Leeds festivals this August
Earlier this year, Shady Records’ Paul Rosenberg confirmed that a new album from Eminem was on its way soon.
"We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013," he said. "He's been working on it for some time."
Eminem will be headlining Reading and Leeds festival in August alongside Biffy Clyro, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, Foals and many more. For more information visit Gigwise gig tickets.
