Mikky Ekko, Prince, Eminem: the week's best tracks

When it comes to exciting weeks for new music, the past sevendays have proven richer than most. With comeback tracks from MIA, Eminem and Blondie, alongside a host of new kids on the block, there is enough on the list to keep you dancing until next Friday.

From big names such as Prince and Eminem to a couple of newfound obsessions (hello there Jack Magma and Rainy Milo), there are some seriously impressive new tracks on our end of week playlist.

Warning: avoid listening to this until you've finished work or face some serious weekend cravings.

Mikky Ekko 'Kids'
Mikky is once again proving he's more than the guy that wrote and sang 'Stay' by Rihanna. This is a smooth, slow-build track, full of youth and expectation and Mikky's beautiful vocals.

Eminem 'Symphony In H'
Eminem hit headlines this week with his first piece of solo music in years, showcasing his 'return to form' after going mainstream for big hits such as 'Love The Way You Lie'. Mashall is back, and sounding as impressive as ever.

MIA 'Bring The Noize'
Debuting as Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record in the World' this week, MIA's new song has that incredibly infectious beat that makes you automatically want to drum and bop along. NSFW BTW, but we wouldn't expect anything less.

Rainy Milo 'Deal Me Briefly'
She may be 17 but Milo's work encapsulates a maturity far beyond her years. She's teamed up with Chet Faker to produce a sensuous, chilled out R&B track, perfect for weekend mornings.

Until The Ribbon Breaks '2025'
'Could you tell me when we fall in love, or just write it down?' This mesmerising new song by Cardiff based Until The Ribbon Breaks softly asks for attention and invites you into a world of the unknown. Stunning.

Jack Magma 'SuperPowers'
Jack Magma's voice has that stop in your tracks effect; his smooth, soulful voice plays out over a delicious summery-electro track to create the wonder that is 'Superpowers'.

White Lies 'There Goes Our Love Again'
This isn't anything far from White Lies' previous material but who cares because sometimes all you need is an uncomplicated, straight up, good indie track with a great voice like McVeigh's to sing it to you.

Duck Sauce 'It's You'
'It's You' has had nearly 40,000 plays in a day on Soundcloud, proving Duck Sauce can make a great track that doesn't make you want you to throw something at the DJ when it comes on (sorry 'Barbara Streisand'). A summer dance smash.

Prince 'Extraloveable Reloaded'
Prince is still proving he's got the skills by creating another ace, hip-swaying kind of beat that's chilled out enough to not get annoying. He can even ask you to take a shower with him and it not be creepy.

Blondie feat. Beth Ditto 'A Rose By Any Other Name'
Two insanely-talented women in music, how could this track not be incredible? Debbie and Beth croon that they'll love you whoever you are and are backed up by some serious 80s synth beats.
