Swedish duo Icona Pop are on course for a huge hit single with their 'I Love It' track, which has shot to No.2 on the iTunes, days after its release.

The track was initially slated for release in late 2012, but was pushed back until the summer of 2013 - in which time, the high energy pop release became a huge hit in America after being featured on hugely popular drama, Girls.

'I Love It' is currently No.2 on the iTunes singles Top Ten while their full 'I Love It' EP is at No.4 on the iTunes album chart. The Wanted's 'Moves Like Rihanna' is currently at No.3 on the iTunes singles chart, and Will.i.am's 'Bang Bang', as performed on the final of The Voice UK, is at No.4.

Icona Pop have become the pop breakthrough of 2013, even picking up celebrity admirers along the way. Taylor Swift recently spoke of her love for their hit single, saying: "I’m also absolutely smitten with 'I Love It' by Icona Pop. It’s the way reckless abandon sounds in my head. I play it right before I go onstage."

On the iTunes album chart, BRIT Award winner Tom Odell has shaken off recent critism of his debut album, claiming No.1 and No.2 on the iTunes album chart with the deluxe and regular versions of his album.

Empire Of The Sun also chart inside the albums Top Ten with their second release, Ice On The Dune, at No.9.
