Foo Fighters have started talking about their new album, which will be the follow up to 2011's Wasting Light.

Drummer Taylor Hawkins told Billboard that the band were getting their ideas together and that Dave Grohl has 'lots of great ideas', but 'none that I can speak of at this moment, but it's gonna be great'. Hawkins added that he thinks that their best and most classic songs are yet to come.

When asked if the band felt under pressure with this record, Hawkins said: "Absolutely. You always want every one of them to be the best one you've ever done.

"I still think we haven't written our 'Hotel California' or our 'Bohemian Rhapsody' or whatever."

Hawkins continued: "You should always be a little scared. Every time you start a record, you have to be ready to fucking kill yourself or it's not gonna be any good."

Earlier this year, Dave Grohl opened up about the plans for the new record when speaking to James Corden at the BRITs.

Grohl told Corden, "We have really awesome, big plans for the next album and I'm really excited about it."
