This year's Glastonbury is to launch a free wi-fi tractor hotspot. As the 31st annual Glasto festival takes place this coming weekend, the organisers have announced a new innovative way of providing internet access for festival goers.
Michael Eavis and co have revealed today that using one of Worthy Farm's eco friendly tractors, it has been turned into a free 4G internet hotspot - available at the festival for those who congregate up to 10 metres away from the wifi tractor hotspot.
“Our 4G tractor demonstrates the innovative approach we’re taking to bring the fastest mobile internet speeds to the UK in a uniquely Glastonbury way,” said mobile phone brand director Spencer McHugh, who are running the project in conjunction with Glasto.
"It uses similar technology to our fleet of 4G cabs trialled earlier this year.”
Festival goers will be able to access 4G from the tractor
Glastonbury will run this weekend at its traditional home of Worthy Farm, Somerset, and is predicted dry and sunny spell conditions.
